About Alcohol
Alcoholic beverages, when taken in excess over a long period of time, may cause serious health problems to your body. Meanwhile, it naturally has its own health benefits.Benefits of alcohol include;

3) Liver diseases, because the liver is responsible for metabolizing alcohol (breaking it down). People on drugs already should consult their pharmacist to know if it is safe to consume alcohol with the drugs they are taking. But it is advisable to not take alcohol at all while on drugs
4) Cognitive deterioration. Alcohol is known to cause memory decline, and overall decrease in cognitive function.
5) Pregnant women who take alcohol expose the pregnancy to potential harm, and the baby to deformity.
6) Alcohol is known to cause breathing difficulties.
Note: The recommended unit of alcohol consumption for both adult men and women is 2 units per day (14 units per week), or less.
